Saskatchewan Fashion Week announces 2014 designer programme
(Thursday, February 13, 2014, Regina, SK)—Today, Saskatchewan Fashion Week (SFW) revealed the programme of Saskatchewan fashion designers who will show original Fall/Winter 2014 collections, May 8-10, 2014 in Regina, SK at the Sound Stage.
“SFW exists to celebrate and expose the quality, innovation, and creativity designers and entrepreneurs are producing in Saskatchewan. The caliber of skill and quality designers submit continues to grow each year,” said Chelsea O’Connell, SFW co-creator and director.” Retailers are buying designers’ collections from the runway to sell to their clientele. It creates incentive for designers to stay situated in Saskatchewan, instead of relocating to other provinces.”
The SFW 2014 designers will include some recognizable designers who previously showed original collections on the SFW runway, including: Hillberg & Berk, Laurie Brown, Dean Renwick, Amaranth Designs, C’est Danine Designs, Chicks & Girlies, Sova Design, 22 Fresh, Natalia K Original Designs, KAZZ Clothing, Eleganzia Couture, Katherine Sthamann, Anwen Rose, Jaycee Wall, MoonStar Designs, and ‘S’ by Sonja Clifton-Remple. It has also attracted a new generation of designers including: FT Design Fashion, Sage Wosminity, War Paint by Stevie Crowne, Prahsik Designs, Theme and Variation, and Rack & Ruin.
Tickets to the fashion spectacular are now on sale and can be purchased from saskfashionweek.com or from Cornwall Centre’s Guest Services kiosk in Regina, SK. Special ticket rates are available until March 30, 2014 or until quantities sell out.
